Why Do We Give?

God Has Called Us to Be Generous in Our Tithes and Offerings

Generosity is not a financial principle — it is a spiritual calling. God calls His people to give faithfully through tithes and offerings as an act of worship, obedience, and trust.

  • Tithing

The tithe (the first 10%) is not simply a donation — it is holy unto God.

    Leviticus 27:30

“And all the tithe of the land… is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.”

    Malachi 3:10

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse… and try Me now in this… if I will not open for you the windows of heaven.”

Tithing teaches us to put God first, not last.

  • Offering

Offerings Reflect Our Gratitude and Faith

An offering is anything given beyond the tithe — it flows from a grateful and willing heart.

    2 Corinthians 9:6–7

“He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly… So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Offerings are not about pressure — they are about passion.

  • Giving is Worship

Giving Is an Act of Worship

Giving is just as much worship as singing or praying.

    Matthew 6:21

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

When we give, our heart follows.
